Note: It is important for the safety of you and others
at this rally that you read and understand all of the information presented
in this program. It is important for your safety to walk the track and familiarize
yourself with the track layout and placement of safety devices and barriers.
REGISTRATION
- ALL PERSONS ENTERING THE TRACK PROPERTY MUST SIGN THE
WAIVER AT THE TRACK ENTRANCE
- Registration will be set up in the upper paddock during
the following hours:
- Friday: 7:00 PM to dusk
- Saturday: 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM to dusk
- Monday: 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM
- All riders, passengers and people working in the pit
lane or on a corner must register and sign the waiver
- Photo I.D. is required at registration
- You must register and have your riding gear inspected
before taking your bike to tech inspection
TECHNICAL INSPECTION and RIDER GEAR INSPECTION
- The mechanical fitness of each motorcycle is the responsibility
of the rider.
- To be eligible to ride a motorcycle on the track, you
must be 18 years old and photo identification must be produced at registration
- Bring your riding gear/tech inspection card
- All riding gear must be brought to rider gear inspection
and checked before your bike will be inspected
- It is suggested that each rider complete a MEDICAL INFORMATION CARD
and carry it inside their leathers. Medical information cards are available at the registration desk.
- All bikes and gear must pass tech inspection prior
to being allowed on the track
- Tech inspection will be located in the upper paddock
- Your bike will not be checked if it is hot, do not
ride your bike to tech inspection
- ANTIFEEZE is NOT PERMITTED. We will be checking all
bikes for antifreeze, your cooling system cannot have any antifreeze present.
Evans, Blue Ice and any coolant containing propylene glycol is not permitted.
Please make sure the coolant filler on your bike is accessible
- Side stands are allowed at the discretion of the Tech
inspection staff
RIDERS' MEETING
- There will be a riders' meeting each morning at 8:30
AM sharp in the hot pit lane. The pit area will be checked during the meeting
for riders not in attendance at the meeting.
- ATTENDANCE AT THE RIDERS' MEETING IS MANDATORY; if
you are not in attendance you must report to the Event Coordinator
MOSPORT TRACK MANAGEMENT RULES
Mosport Raceway has instituted the following rules for
the safety of all rally participants and spectators:
- All pets must be on leash at all times
- No one will be allowed to ride a motorcycle or pedal
bike, roller skate or roller blade at the facility without all proper safety
equipment; mandatory equipment includes helmet, knee and elbow pads, gloves,
and adequate footwear
- To be eligible to ride a motorcycle on the track, you
must be 18 years old and photo identification must be produced at registration
- NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED OUTSIDE OF PIT AREA
UNLESS PROPERLY LICENCED. All unlicensed vehicles in the pits, including
pit bikes must display membership number.
- Adults who bring children to the rally site are responsible
for their supervision. All children must be under their parent's control at
all times.
- No race motors are permitted to be run before 9:00
AM or after 6:00 PM
EVENT RULES
- Rules and guidelines for club track events are described
in detail in the "Official Rally Registration Guide and Rules" (the
"Rules") that is contained in your registration package. All rally
participants must read the Rules before beginning to ride. It is imperative
that all riders understand and comply with the Rules. If you have any questions,
ask any member of the Club Executive.
- It is important for your safety to walk the track in
order to familiarize yourself with the track layout and the placement of Safety
devices.
PADDOCK, PIT LANE and TRACK ENTRY PROCEDURES
- Limit your speed in the paddock to 40 kmh/25 mph
- Entry to the TRACK is through PIT OUT, located at the
east end of the upper paddock. There will be Club officials stationed
at PIT OUT who will check all riders to ensure they have the correct wristband
for the session in progress, helmet sticker, tech inspection sticker and proper
riding gear. Club officials at PIT OUT will also check for any additional
safety concerns including, but not limited to, oil leaks, loose parts, etc.
- Once in PIT OUT, stay to the left and line up in front
of the starter. Once the session has commenced, the starter will signal each
rider when it is safe to proceed on the track.
- DO NOT pass the Starter until they have signaled you
to do so. Failure to obey the Starter WILL result in a black flag and could
result in removal of riding priviledges.
- Track entry is between turns 1 and 2. Check over
your shoulder and merge onto the track once you have reached the end of the
pit exit lane. Rider's already on the track will be traveling at high
speeds at this point. Do not move rapidly to the left.
- Weaving in order to warm up your tires is prohibited.
Weaving is dangerous and unnecessary.
RUNNING DIRECTION
- Running direction at Mosport is always clockwise
- It is highly recommended that all riders walk the track
at least once to familiarize themselves with the layout of the track and the
condition of the track surface
- Be aware of the location of safety barriers and devices
TRACK EXIT PROCEDURE
- In order to reduce the time required to clear the track
between sessions, the checkered flag will be shown at turn 6 as well as at
the start line. When you see the flag, you must slow down gradually and exit
the track at the exit of turn 9 on the right-hand side
- To exit the track, move off of the racing line, slow
down and signal by using your arm or leg. Proceed down PIT LANE into the pits
at low speed.
SESSION RUNNING ORDER
- Track sessions will be run on a 20 minute cycle throughout
the day. Upcoming sessions will be announced over the PA system. The
Vintage Class and 2 UP will be combined once in the afternoon immediately
following lunch at the discretion of the club executive.
- Listen to the PA for announcements. Track riding
will stop for lunch at the session that is currently on the track, running
will re-commence where it left off in the morning. .
- Track sessions will run in the following order:
GREEN - YELLOW - BLUE
STUFF FOR SALE
- Club t-shirts, hats, stickers and other paraphernalia
are available at registration
- Other vendors may be set up in the paddock area
- Awards will be presented after dinner on Saturday night
STUFF TO EAT
- We will be serving our Italian food dinner on Saturday
Night at 6:30 PM. This is free to all pre-registered Saturday and Sunday riders
- For spectators, dinner tickets will be available at
nominal cost on a first come first served basis at registration
- Breakfast and lunch is available from the snack bar
located in the main track building
MOSPORT RACEWAY FACILITES
- Camping: Free camping is available at the track
- Snack Bar: The snack bar is open for breakfast and
lunch
- Ice: Ice is available at the snack bar
- Race Gas: Race gas is available at the east end
of the upper paddock
