250 parts, post Henry

Postby windmillgeorge » Wed Apr 11, 2012 9:36 pm

When I was 14(now 45), I went to the private ducati dealer in Montreal, got buzzed up through the security, went upstairs and asked for some Cadet parts. The guy laughed at me and directed me to Henry Hogben. Over the years, Henry supplied me with all the parts I ever needed. Its been 15 years since ordering any(Cadet is on display) and I have purchased a 250 Monza. I learned that he had passed and i am now lost. It needs a good assortment of parts, cables, axle, coil, wires, brakes, etc. Where would a person go post Henry. Boy was he good to a snot nosed kid running the piss out of a poor Cadet(Hit 65mph once). Any advice? Located near Ottawa. thanks george

George,

I have front and rear axles and piles of miscellaneous 250 bits up here near Shawville but stuff like cables is easy. Ask Steve Loudbike for one thing, he's in Ottawa. Lots of singles stuff available these days, keep in touch and happy trails.

Road and Race in Australia is an excellent source for vintange Ducati parts as well. Easy to deal with and fast service and not outrageously priced either!

There is also Steve at BevelHeaven, and Gowanloch in Australia. Probably dozens more but you need to get plugged back into the "network".

Join the bevelheads mailing list - if you can wade through dozens of off topic BS emails you'll find a lot of good info and the people there need someone with a motorcycle issue to get them refocused.
