Best ride of the year
Hi,
Sunny warm day in London on saturday so I cranked up the bike and went for a ride.
Took Wharncliffe south through Lambeth and out on 3 past St Thomas down to Tilsonburgh. Turned north in Tilsonburg onto the 19 heading for Ingersoll. Another nice road, some sweeping bends and more nice small towns. From Ingersoll took the 29 (when I found it) back to London.
This loop is about 90 miles with mainly nice roads, good surfaces and plenty of overtaking places. Aylmer may have been holding a funny hat contest today which had a very high participation ratio from the locals .
The 29 is possibly the best stretch but the whole route has some nice sweeping bends and fast progress is possible anywhere out of the towns. Never saw a cop outside london which was nice.
Cheers
Steve
