Hello fellow Ducati bretheren!
i wanted to stop in and say a quick hello and introduce myself.
After a number of years out of the saddle while my kids were little, (and my wife was still nice to me ); i've once again been bitten by the urge to get back out and ride. In the day, I rode mostly Honda's - VFR's and the original CBR900. I completed the FAST courses at Shannonville and even had a prepped Yamaha for track days. I was the type of rider who preferred to stay off the 400 series highways to mostly secondary roads, regardless of how much time it added to the trip. I would often do 1-2 overnights with my riding buddies to Quebec and other places, very much enjoying many new friends met along the way.
Fast forward to now and this time around in my motorcycling career, i've curiously found myself pulled towards the soulful side of riding, not to the 'most technical' bike of the year award, and, in doing so, i've been wanting a 900 SS/SP. My search continues. I've always had a real soft spot for this particular bike from the time i test rode one in Vancouver while at SFU but just couldn't pull the trigger. Guess i wasn't ready?
I hope to find a nice example sometime soon of a good, well maintained, well cared for 900ss, and, to hopefully get out and meet other like minded Ducati riders.
Thanks for listening and hope to meet many of you soon.
