Replacing Coolant

Postby Chris » Sat Aug 09, 2008 5:08 pm

I just drained the tangerine spooge from my 748. It was originally distilled water that I added before Mosport.

After draining, I rinsed 6 litres of distilled water through until it came out clear.

The whole system is now empty.

I am planning at least one more track day this year and will be draining it for storage this winter.

What are my next steps? Do I need to flush the rad with 'Rad Flush'? or can I just add water and Water Wetter? Is it safe to use Water and Water Wetter for extended periods?

Last question: What are they testing at the track when the check the coolant?

Thanks
Chris
