serial numbers
Hi all
In early january I found and bought a 900 engine on Evil Bay. After much prodding, threatening etc,of the seller, last week I received a slightly beat up engine but not a 900. Its got a serial number of RA22002305. Is anyone here able to break the code? I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Thanks Greg

Re: serial numbers
To satisfy the curious. I called Inglis Cycle and the parts guy tells me that the motor sent to me from the ebay seller is from a 620 monster( Thank you Inglis Cycle) . I can't believe someone charading as "ducati brothers of america" could make a mistake like that!

Re: serial numbers
You really think it was a mistake
Or just greed seller trying to get 900 money for the much less capable 620
Sorry to hear of the outcome, but glad that you were able to get the info you needed from Inglis. They have been very helpful to me over the years also
