749 battery

Postby 749Dude » Tue Apr 20, 2010 9:33 am

I need a replacement battery for a 2006 749. Does anyone know if its a standard motorcycle battery or do I need to buy a Ducati battery?

Make sure it is a "gel" type battery as you know it mounts sideways a "normal" if there is such a thing battery ie. unsealed or non-gel type could leak? Can't remember the number but I think YTB-12 rings a bell for chinese knock offs? about 60 bucks I think/

Good luck

This is all I could come up with (mind you the site is a UK Site) http://www.wemoto.fr/bikes/Ducati/749_R ... ery_Yuasa/
Yuasa number they say is YT12B-BS

Im sure you could take it to a battrie specific shop and have them cross it to something a tad bit easier on the wallet!! I know of sevral people (my self included) who have done such with great luck

R1 and R6 or it might have been the honda.
