Hi guys -
I had to unplug last night as Joanna and I were at Oak Island for yet another wedding. Back in the office today, wishing I was watching some racing!

1.09s are huge numbers for the 848s. Wonder what tomorrow will bring if the temps are down a bit. It should make for some incredible racing.

Is Guy Martin set up at the top of the paddock area? I'll have to stop by and say hello if I can catch him while he's taking a break. Also, did you happen to see a tent for RMR Suspensions? Wonder if Rod Matechuk is there as well.

About the track..... Did T3 look way too crowded with tents today? If so we can certainly move the location to another spot. The inside of T2 is another awesome vantage point but it's a bit of a walk getting in there and you'd need a dualsport to navigate the mud and ruts. I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings. I'll have my crackberry with so I'll update this thread early in the morning telling where we're set up.

I wish I was at AMP today instead of pushing papers.

Update on the first round from Shubie - Andrew Nelson blew a motor and crashed, but Valter Bardoloini (sp?) carried the day and won the Thunder race. He missed seeing the checkered, and knocked somebody else off their bike on what should have been the cool-down lap, but I'll forgive him.

I believe M. Martin is there - The big MBP trailer is there for sure. They are sponsoring Martin Grande (#898) in 600 AM, and apparently doing some work on the side with the NCR bikes. Both trailers are next to each other up by the washrooms. I was riding out of shubie on Wednesday on my monster after the trackday when they were coming in, and I got some big waves and smiles friom the cab at just the sight of a Ducati.

I don't know about the suspension company you asked about, but I did hear mention of Rod Matechuk on the PA, so I think he is there too.

You are really going to enjoy looking at the NCR hypermotard - I think it's got a titanium frame! I had a nice chat with an older fellow with an Italian accent at their display about it, I think he said the whole thing weighed in at 380 pounds...all I can say is wow.

I'm seriously considering packing in the marshalling for the day and coming over and socializing with you folks instead. We've got so many volunteers for this event that I wouldn't be missed. I will bring my own beer if I turn up, I promise! See you tomorrow.

Mitch

Today totally rocked!

One great thing about AMP is that access is still great. I have no credentials, but I got near enough to the grid that I could get some great photos, almost like the ones you see on MotoGP etc.

I think all the areas look crowded, but it might be worth checking out the T3 area way up near the end of the bleachers, maybe less people there. Might have still been a few spots along the slope between 1 and 3 as well - maybe the rain will have driven some campers away...:)

Top of the hill looking at T2 was chocked, as always, but the opposite side would work and we'd be nice and visible. However, it does take an Abrams or something to get over there.

Mitch - come join us!

Mark, I'll check this in the AM, but heading out early anyway, so I'll find you...

Cool guys! I'm so psyched for tomorrow.
The truck is all packed and ready to go. I have beer and brats enough to keep us all in a state of suspended stupor for the whole day.
I'll see you all in the morning!
WooHoo!
:D

We're setting up on the infield of T2. T3 is just packed and there's no room for us there. It's a bit muddy getting in but the views should be worth it. See you soon.

Just to finish off the bit about Christie, I think he was second on Saturday as well as winning on Sunday (it was a doubleheader round).

Hello All,
Thanks for the info on Jodi Cristie, this kid is going to be the next Steve Crevier. He already has the Am.Superbike won and I believe with the results from Shubie. he has won Am. 600 ,he will turn Pro at the last race at Shannonville ,I'm sure. I told him at Shannonville," it's not neccessary to win the race with the entire back straight between you and the guy in second place",so the next race he won it with the entire back straight and the part of the track from the back straight to Allens Corners between him and the second place rider.Oh to be young again. Not that I was fast when I was young, maybe I was and I just can't remember.Yea Right!
Tnxs. Eric.
