no cranking, but fuel pump, idiot lights all fine...

1998 900 ss FE. Ran fine last night, went to start it this am, will not turn over. Fuel pump OK, (same fuse). Checked all fuses, checked starter swich wiring, battery is fully charged. Any idea where to start? Does the starter just die? Like I said, 12 hours previously, worked fine... Regulator/rectifier? Is there a separate starter fuse? Dad always said, "work from the ground up" -- any common areas where the ground comes loose/loses contact? Pushed it into the garage and drove the cage to work...

Check the white relay connector at the starter solenoid. Sounds like its come adrift.
