The cooling fan on my 2004 ST4 comes on well after the coolant temperature is way over 100 C. I have been thinking of installing a manual on/off switch for the fan. I don't want this to interfere with the automatic fan system. Does anyone have any experience or advice.

Thanks for this link Chris - sounds just what I need.
I was hoping to interrupt the wire from the computer to the fan with a manual switch for the fan, put in a diode so the current can only go to the fan not back to computer. This way hopefully the automatic system still works.
Any thoughts?
