748 - at top end revs shes bogging down

Postby bkoenig » Mon Aug 30, 2010 4:04 pm

Hi anybody else ever get this?

7000 plus and she starts to bog down

if I keep the throttel open it will continue all the way to a stall, but if i release the throttle it will recover.

idles fine and rides fine up to 7000 rpm area.

anyone have any ideas?

just now the battery went dead on me while riding, so im assuming I need to have the alternator looked into... could that have been what was causing the top end bogging down?

Any ideas would help here, I sure hope its not valve related or this could get pricey.

check connector to voltage regulator from stator( depending on year) when was the last time you changed the fuel filter?
