New Ducati (2001 750 SS) Questions

Postby huckleberry » Sun Apr 10, 2016 8:06 pm

Hi Group. I bought my first Ducati late last season (2001 750 supersport) and now I'm getting into maintenance. I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can help me out with:

1) Changing the fuel filter: I've heard I can just buy any filter not OEM, can someone confirm and maybe recommend a cheap alternative?

2) Getting the Gas Tank Filler Cap back on -- this is unexpectedly difficult -- any pro tips? I've already greased the green seal and it still doesn't want to pop in.

3) Toronto mechanic? I'd love to find someone familiar with these bikes downtown Toronto -- any suggestions? I live in a condo so really can't do much work myself.

Thanks for reading.

Maranello on Steeles Av and ask for Chris. He knows his Ducati stuff.

Here! Here! Chris is the man, I have a 2008 multistrada and pretty much he is the only guy who has touched my bike in the way of valve adjustments, as for your oils and filters, keep with European spec, Motul is what I use for all my fluids......... see Chris , he will advise you honestly.
