At this point, Ducati has not sent their promotions to us to post. I am working with them to make this happen.

As for a track day out West, we have lots of experience in running them, however the bulk of that experience exists in the Ontario area. We can provide assistance in setting up a track day if we have volunteers out west who would be willing to help. You are probably looking at 20-25 volunteers to pull it off.

I would be happy to discuss this with you.

Even though I am in Ontario, I would love to know what any track was like in BC or AB. i work for a trucking company, and it would not be too hard to ship the bike out west :D

it is very demanding on braking and cornering skills

Wher is the track?
Is their any others around to look at ? B,C . Calgary race city? Edmonton ?
It would be very cool to look into the venues if they are any good and do a west track event as it is getting really hard to get track time in the Ontario Reagen,Lots of track time if we want to do it with other non European club/providers.BUT as you asked how many are in the immediate area ? is it possible to promote a successful track event??

I would be Very interested in a west event.

SIDE NOTE: I was in the delta B,C. area 2 years ago and was staying in White rock.I went for a drive one night into the beach at white rock looking for bikes and low and behold the first one i saw was a red 1098! I saw a bunch of Ducati's while i was in B,C. I went to the dealer in Richmond were I found the coolest display area for Ducati i have ever seen ! in the back and very much up scale from the rest of the dealer .It had a 1098R in the middle of the hard wood floor with the rest of the Ducati crue around the out side.Very classy display!
I was home sick and it made my day/STAY to just get to be around the bikes i love.was like being with extended family. :D

Note to self : take 998 next time !

i will try and link a photo of the track
http://www.wmrc.ca/the-track.html

the straightaway is on the dragstrip and runs approx east to west , it has some uneven pavement ( just to keep u honest )

i race a sv650 here and i do trackdays with my gixxr and 1198 on an informal track setup at an airport parking lot

we need somebody with buckets of money to build a proper sized track out here , are u listening jim pattison ? , i am curious to hear from members who have been at alberta tracks

Ducati Calgary had 3 or 4 Ducati only tracknights last season....I'm sure they will be doing something again as they are big supporters of racing out here! If not, there is usually a trackday/night event once a week or every two weeks at least here as there are two main organizations that put on motorcycle events...

There is also Stratotech racetrack just outside Edmonton (in Fort Saskatchewan). It is mainly a go cart track, but they do have motorcycle racing out there...on my 1098 you are hard pressed to get out of 2nd gear, but on my 848 I get into third...lol. Its nice and smooth, but short (around 1 minute laptimes), but they also have a couple different people/organizations doing tracknights as well.

Ducati is alive and well in Vancouver! Did anyone make it out to our Customer Appreciation Day at Mission Raceway June 11, 2012?? You may find a picture of yourself on our website and/or our facebook page.

We have another one coming on July 9 if anyone is interested.
