I've got an itch to go out this coming weekend but now my bike is out of comission. Apparently, there is an issue with the e-prom in the computer and I've ordered a replacement from the US that should be here tomorrow. As soon as it's here, I've got to get it to Paul at Rev and see if he can do his magic before the weekend. I'll come back to this forum and update this thread by the end of the week if all goes as planned.

Thanks for the reply.

Now this e-prom on order won't be here until next week. ARGH ! ! ! ! I need to find someone who's got a stock 2001 996 e-prom at least so my bike can be further diagnosed. Quick, winter is coming. I can feel it in my bones ! ! ! !

I hate winter :(

Look on ebay, there are usually cheap burned eproms available. I got a copy of a Senna chip for about 35$ within a week last year.

I finally got the FIM chip for the single injector conversion and all I can say is WOW! This bike has been completely transformed thanks to FIM and Paul at Rev. The torque is unbelievable at any RPM compared to before. It idles perfectly and even sounds different now. The bark is much more intense and the fel is smoother throughout the range as well. That was the best $$$ spent on the bike to date.
