Road Ride Anyone - Oct 3rd or 10th Weekend ?

I am planning a road ride this coming weekend or the next, depending on the weather.

Two years ago we did a road ride a long Ridge Road along the Escarpement. The route will be basically to re-trace that same route going towards Niagra Falls.

Meeting would take place at 11am, at the top of Hwy 20 S in Hamilton, the Tim Hortons. If anyone is coming from London I can post a meeting place to ride going to Hwy 20 S.

That's a great idea. Thanks for making the effort to get a group together. I'm in for either the 3rd or the 10th but I think the forecast is calling for rain this Saturday. As long as it's dry, I'm there. It would be nice if it's not freezing cold but beggars can't be choosers.

Come on everyone, this will be one of, if not the last good ride of the season. In January you'll give your right arm for an opportunity to get out on your bike.

Count me in but I believe this Sunday is the only day I've seen with little chance of rain and I don't enjoy riding in the rain. I have a friend with a Paul Smart and another with an Aprilia RSV-r who would love to join us as well if they are welcome. Are you creating an email list or just hoping people see this post?

Yes, I understand that this is not an official DOCC ride (I don't have an issue with that) and as for the email list, I just meant that once we get interest, we can communicate via email rather than on this forum for those who prefer emails to their mobile devices, etc. rather than having to come back to this website all the time for updates.

Anyhow, we should be very considerate of the weather which currently shows the 3rd as raining and the 4th (Sunday) as a better day. So far, the 10th is good for me as well but keep in mind that it's Thanksgiving weekend and some people may be travelling.

By the way, if you have people interested so far, I have other guys who I have ridden with (varying ages and bike types/models) in the past and they are always interested in a good group ride. The weather for Sunday the 4th is looking the best and probably going to be more warmer then the weekend of the 10th.

So I am going to say Sunday the 4th at 11am at the location I posted before http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF ... 4&t=h&z=19

So check back here on the forum Saturday for the GO or NO due to weather. Safe to say if it is raining the ride will be cancelled and changed to another day.
