Durham gatherings
Anyone in the Durham/east side of Turahna want to try a weekly/monthy evening of food/bench racing at a fine local establishment? Just a thought. If there's interest, I'll look into/take suggestions on locations.

Ken
Post up when and where you are meeting. I might be able to make it to the odd one.
Cheers,

Re: Durham gatherings?
ah.... Ken, you do realize that he who makes a suggestion automatically is volunteered to carry out said suggestion, right?
Also, the club is still looking for a Central Ontario Regional Rep. One of the requirements of a rep. is to organize events just like the one you suggest. Plus with your job, you have a great tie-in with Ducati. So, I'd say you'd be a fantastic choice.
All those in favour say, yay!

Re: Durham gatherings?
O.K, I'll scout locations. What about night? Any preferances? Fridays? Saturdays? Mid-week? I think as long as no one needed to get loaded(!?), a mid-week would be nice. Wed nites?
Maybe I'll find a decent pub and get pictures of Spies/R1's pasted onto dart boards?

Re: Durham gatherings?
Not sure about door prizes every week! I'll try for something.
How about Sgt. Peppers Pub & Grill right at the Salem Rd/401 interchange? I just checked it out at lunch, seems fine. Usual menu choices, flat screen TV's etc. Large semi-isolated table section at one side.(don't want to contaminate the regulars with 'biker types!')
We could start Jan. 20 the after the Supershow is done. Say 6.30ish?

Re: Durham gatherings?
Ken , that is a terrific idea !! The DOCC needs social activities just like what you have suggested. Please keep the dates and time posted front and center so everyone in the area can get out to at least one of these evenings . Thank you again Ken

So far so good. We had 10 members out for the first night. Food was good too.
I'll work on small door prizes from the store.

Re: Durham gatherings
Thanks to Eric for donating some great mounted posters the last two nights. Much appreciated!
We're averaging 8 people (yes, some gurls have come along as well!) each night. F.Y.I: The Chicken curry soup is fantastic!
