Fairing Options for a 750 Supersport
I have a 2000 750ss with half fairings. I am going to be racing the bike this year and now require an oil containment pan on the bike.
I need some help determining my best course of action.
One route is a full supersport fairing; I am assuming that I would also need the nose cone to adapt to the full fairings to the bike (correct?)
Another option is modifying a belly pan only to the bike.
Does anyone know if I could modify some fairing supports to fit a superbike (99X model) to my 750ss?
thanks in advance

The upper fairings you have are compatible with the SS lowers. I've been mixing and matching for the past few years. CR, SS, 750, 900, 800, 1000DS they all work together. It's a long story so don't ask...
The stock SS fairing is probably unsuitable for your purpose. It's a left/right split with a a huge hole in the bottom for exhaust clearance. The venting slots are too low and it's lacking a rear dam making it unsuitable for oil containment without modiifcations. You'd be better off with the Sharkskinz or Airtech fairings. See long story above if you're not sure.
